Terlato Wines International Unveils Private Label ‘Vintage 51’ Wines with Horseshoe Casino
Chicago, IL –November 17, 2009 – Horseshoe Casino, located just 20 minutes away from downtown Chicago; and Terlato Wines International, the premier purveyor of luxury wines in the United States, are proud to announce two new private label signature wines now found exclusively at Horseshoe Casino.
The new Vintage 51 wines; a 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2006 Limited Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, were born from this extraordinary partnership of two leading Chicagoland companies committed to quality and excellence.
 When Horseshoe Casino sought to create a signature wine, it looked for a partner that could fully capture its essence, history and soul. The wine had to be exquisite, sophisticated, and of course, legendary.
“The Terlato family’s long and successful history of producing and developing excellent wines, coupled with their Chicago presence distinguished them as an ideal partner to create a signature branded Horseshoe wine,” said Kevin Kline, Vice President & Assistant General Manager, Horseshoe Casino.

For more than a half-century the Terlato family has brought some of the world’s finest wines to the American table to enhance the culinary experience, and Vintage 51 wines are now among them. “We’re passionate about producing authentic, original wines from exceptional vineyards that pair with today’s top cuisines,” said Terlato.
The wines will initially launch at Horseshoe’s Casino Hammond in November, with potential expansion to other Horseshoe properties, which are all owned by Harrah’s Entertainment.
A private dinner unveiling the new wines was held October 16, 2009, at the Terlato family’s Tangley Oaks Manor in Lake Bluff, Illinois with Mr. Gary Loveman, CEO-Harrah’s Entertainment, and Mr. Anthony Terlato, Chairman Terlato Wines International. The intimate event featured epicurean food pairings expertly selected by Terlato Wines International Executive Chef Colin Crowley. The featured entrée of grilled A-5 Kobe Sirloin with Chanterelle Mushrooms and Truffled Potato Soufflé was perfectly paired with the 2006 Vintage 51 Limited Reserve, Stags Leap District.

The 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from distinct vineyards in Napa Valley with the majority of the fruit coming from the prestigious Rutherford Appellation.

The 2006 Vintage 51 Limited Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has a limited production of only 50 cases. The 2006 Vintage 51 Limited Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is selected from the most prestigious appellation in Napa Valley - the much heralded, Stag's Leap District with its unique terroir.
