Brandlin Vinyard The Brandlin Vineyard sits on a ridge between 900 and 1,150 feet above southwestern Napa Valley, in the Mount Veeder appellation. The vineyard terrain is very rugged and steep, and the ground is quite free draining, which lends the typical element of drought stress found in true “mountain sites.” This allows for greater concentration of juice in the berries.

This vineyard’s unique traits make Brandlin the spectacular wine that it is. According to Brandlin winemaker Steve Rogstad:
“Nothing, not the winemaker’s hand nor the cooper’s craft, has as profound an impact on the character of this wine as the Brandlin Vineyard. For it is these steep rocky soils and moderate climate that render the intense, black-fruited concentration and powerful backbone of tannin that makes this wine unique”
The Brandlin Vineyard is planted to the classic Bordeaux varieties: 32.1 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.3 acres of Malbec, 1.8 acres of Cabernet Franc and 1.4 acres of Petit Verdot.
