Cuvaison Estate Wines, two locations – two experiences.
Cuvaison’s 400 acre estate vineyard in Carneros is in the southernmost corner of Napa Valley. The winery’s historic location lies at the top of the Silverado Trail approximately 40 miles northeast of the winery’s Carneros location. As one of the pioneers in Carneros, Cuvaison chose the Carneros vineyards as a site that was perfectly situated to express the character and complexity of this unique terroir.
Since 1969, Cuvaison Estate Wines has been hand-crafting classic and elegant Napa Valley wines. The Carneros estate has been developed by matching an array of clones and rootstocks to the special characteristics of each specific vineyard block. The wines produced from these individual blocks are skillfully blended to create the balanced, elegant, well-structured wines for which Cuvaison is famous.
Cuvaison’s estate grown wines capture the uniqueness of their Carneros and Mount Veeder estate vineyards and reflect the finest attributes of each vintage. From vine to bottle, Cuvaison does their best to maximize their sustainability efforts in order to minimize the impact on the environment.
Winemaker Steven Rogstad joined Cuvaison almost a decade ago after many years of experience in Carneros with wineries such as Clos Pegase. Under Steve's direction, all aspects of both farming and winemaking are integrated to produce exceptional Carneros Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.
