The MAZZONI vineyards are located in the southwest portion of the famous Brunello region. The Sangiovese grapes are selected from varying altitudes between 150 and 450 meters above the sea level, whereas the Merlot vineyards are always located at higher elevations (approximately 400 meters). The cooler temperature at this elevation is more suitable to produce varietal characteristics of Merlot. All vineyards benefit from a southern exposure and are typically range 10 to 12 years in age.
