Established in 1928 by Claude-Henri Trénel in Beaujolais in the south of France, the Maison Trénel estate is one of the region's top independent négociants. Claude's son and successor, André, worked tirelessly to ensure that the winery formed exclusive relationships with the best grape growers in the region to produce wines of unrivaled distinction and quality. André lived by the motto, "We only do well what we know well," and his wines earned a fantastic reputation both in France and abroad.

Since 2015, Maison Trénel has been owned and operated by Michel Chapoutier, world renowned winemaker famous for his sensational Rhône Valley wines. Trénel wines are still of superbly high quality and have a unique style that appeals to today's wine-drinkers.
